We received an invite to explore some new openings to cave systems on private property in Alabama. Excited by the opportunity, the crew headed West late Friday evening for the weekend to meet Land Owners Steve T. and Mark Z.
Our first night was a rainy one, but I slept like a baby, so I couldn’t tell you much more than that, except that the rain made for great waterfalls and watery caves on Saturday.
This awesome adventure saw things not go according to plan on a few occasions, but it didn’t stop us from making fabulous memories. With the season changing, our team was met with creepy critters, poison ivy, as well as some very beautiful fauna and less creepy, but more cute critters–like a baby turtle!
