Regions Financial Corp. has named three major state business figures as new members to its board, which is expanding to 14 members.
Alabama Power Co. CEO Mark Crosswhite, Vulcan Materials Co. CEO Tom Hill, and Noopur Davis, corporate executive vice president and chief information security and product privacy officer for Comcast, will be joining the board, according to an announcement.
The three will serve on the boards of Regions Financial and its subsidiary, Regions Bank. Regions Chair Charles McCrary said the new members “bring a diverse range of skills, experience and perspectives that will further position Regions for continued growth.”
“From extensive experience as sitting CEOs of large companies, to deep knowledge on the technology and cybersecurity front, the input provided from these new members will be invaluable to our boards,” McCrary said.
Crosswhite also serves as chairman and president of Alabama Power Co. He also serves as chairman of the boards of the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama (EDPA) and Prosper Birmingham, and is a member of the president’s cabinet of the University of Alabama. Crosswhite earned a bachelor’s degree in 1984 from UAH and a J.D. degree in 1987 from the University of Alabama School of Law.
Hill is also chairman of the board and president of Vulcan Materials, the nation’s largest producer of construction aggregates. Hill serves on the boards of the Birmingham Business Alliance and the EDPA. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and the Wharton School of Business, Executive Management Program.
Davis leads teams at Comcast responsible for product security and privacy, cloud security, information and infrastructure security, cybersecurity risk, security engineering, security incident response, the legal response center and technical fraud. Davis holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Auburn University and a master’s degree in computer science from UAH. Davis also serves on multiple advisory councils including Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services and VMWare.
Crosswhite will serve on Regions’ Audit and the Nominating & Corporate Governance committees, while Davis will serve on the Risk and Technology committees. Hill will serve on the Compensation & Human Resources and Risk committees.
