Fifteen Texas Doctors Agree to Settle Kickback Allegations

Fifteen additional Texas doctors have agreed to pay a total of $2.83 million to resolve False Claims Act allegations of illegal kickbacks which violate the Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law, according to the Department of Justice.

The department on Tuesday said 15 Texas doctors allegedly received thousands of dollars in remuneration from nine management service organizations in exchange for laboratory tests from Rockdale Hospital, True Health Diagnostics LLC, and/or Boston Heart Diagnostics Corpo.

The physicians have also agreed to cooperate with the DOJ regarding other involved parties, according to the department.
