Man, 50, shot and killed in Ensley Sunday


BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Birmingham Police are investigating a homicide that happened in the 1600 block of 19th Street Ensley on June 26.

The victim has been identified as Horace Noble Berry, Jr. He was 50 years old.

Police arrived around on the scene 10:05 a.m. and observed Berry lying unresponsive in the roadway suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

According to BPD, Preliminary investigation suggests the victim and a separate man were involved in an argument. They say the suspect shot the victim then fled the scene with a female family member of the victim.

No suspects are in custody at the time.
