Selena Gomez Shares Some of the Intimate Details of Britney Spears’ Wedding

Selena Gomez made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live this week to promote her Hulu hit Only Murders in the Building, but Jimmy Kimmel soon brought the conversation around to his own burning question: What was Britney Spears’ wedding like?

Spears got married to her longtime fiancé Sam Asghari on June 9, a Thursday, which Kimmel joked is usually an indication “that the bride and groom are trying to get a discount.”

To that, Gomez drily responded, “I wouldn’t know!”

Kimmel held up a photograph of Gomez with some other celebrity guests, including Donatella Versace, Paris Hilton, Madonna, and Drew Barrymore, with Spears smiling right beside them.

The 29-year-old actress and pop icon then shared some details from the intimate event.

“I am really happy for her, it was beautiful,”she said, then explained that the reception included “finger foods” for guests. Spears herself gushed all about the day on her Instagram timeline (which she has recently deleted), saying that Gomez was “way prettier in person if that’s possible.”

“I think we all fell on the dance floor at least 2 times,” Spears continued. “I mean come on … we were all VOGUING !!!”

She also joked that she and Madonna kissed again, referring to their famous 2003 MTV VMA Awards performance. A short clip of the group of famous women in Kimmel’s photo singing “Vogue” was shared online from the reception. An insider told People that Spears cried tears of joy during the ceremony, and walked down the aisle to Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

“Britney walked herself down the aisle. She looked absolutely stunning in her main dress,” the source said. “She cried happy tears at some moments…It ended up being the happiest night for Britney. She wanted a fairytale wedding and she got it. Britney looked stunning.”
