The winner was identified this week as Elton Spotted Horse from Mandaree, N.D.

It was on a Dancing Drums Explosion slot. The jackpot came on a $5.88 bet.

He hit the jackpot last Friday. It was announced in a tweet on Thursday.

Congrats on your big win, Elton!,” 4 Bears Casino said in the tweet.

Dancing Drums Explosion was developed by SG Gaming. It is a five-reel slot machine.

Among those congratulating the player on Twitter was Brando_BHop. “Whoa! Congrats!” the social media poster said.

Located in New Town, N.D., 4 Bears Casino has some 700 slot machines. They range from one cent to $25 in denominations.

The casino is owned by The Three Affiliated Tribes. The casino and lodge is situated in the northern part of the Fort Berthold Reservation. New Town is about 148 miles northwest of Bismark.

Recent Jackpots

Elsewhere, earlier this month, a mystery player won over $1.3M on a slot machine at the Golden Gate Hotel & Casino. The historic Fremont Street gaming venue is located in downtown Las Vegas.

The jackpot was $1,342,414. It was won on a Wheel of Fortune slot machine. The Golden Gate is owned by Greg and Derek Stevens.

Last month, another unnamed player hit it big, also on a Wheel of Fortune slot machine. It was at The D Hotel and Casino, also in downtown Las Vegas. And that property is also owned by Derek Stevens.

The D reported the slot player hit over a $1.4 million jackpot on May 4.

Meanwhile, across the country at Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Casino & Resort, another lucky player won $3.8 million on April 4. The Connecticut tribal resort said the jackpot was the largest Wheel of Fortune slot win at the Uncasville property in nearly 20 years. That lucky player also chose not to reveal his or her name.

North Dakota Sports Wagering

As of November, North Dakota became among the states offering regulated sports wagering, joining 28 other states and Washington, DC.

With the move, wagers can be made at the Dakota Magic Casino (DMC) in Hankinson — a tribal gaming property operated by Dakota Nation Gaming Enterprise (DNGE). As of late last year, mobile wagering was not yet approved. Wagering was limited to the Dakota Nation Sportsbook.

DNGE has three tribal casinos with Dakota Magic Casino and Hotel in Hankinson, being the first to have the sports book lounge. DMC is one of the largest tribal casinos in North Dakota.

Bettors also will be able to bet on North Dakota State football. It is part of the Football Championship Subdivison (FCS).
