Teen dies in south Alabama car crash


An 18-year-old from Citronelle died after his car overturned early Saturday morning, according to a press release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The teen was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado that overturned after he entered a curve. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.

The crash happened on Mobile County 96, about six miles west of Mount Vernon at around 2 a.m. The investigation is ongoing.
