A young man was killed early Tuesday in a crash in Tuscaloosa.
Tuscaloosa police identified the fatality victim as Justin Tionne Wilder Jr. He was 21.
Wilder was driving a Yamaha dirt bike northbound on McFarland Boulevard East at 12:15 a.m. when the bike collided with an SUV. Police spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor said the collision happened when an SUV was turn right on Jug Factory Lane from McFarland toward the fast-food restaurants in the 800 block of Skyland Boulevard.
Wilder and a female passenger were transported to DCH Regional Medical Center, where Wilder was pronounced dead.
The female passenger, also 21, suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.
TPD’s Accident Reconstruction Unit responded and is conducting the follow-up investigation.
