US President Joe Biden said the Supreme Court has taken the US “back by 150 years” after it overturned the landmark Roe v Wade decision that enshrined a women’s right to an abortion. He called it a ‘sad day for the country’ in an address to the nation from the White House.
Some 13 states have trigger laws that will ban abortion as soon as they are signed, with Missouri and Alabama already doing so.
