North Carolina’s head basketball coach praises Alabama’s Brandon Miller

It didn’t take long for the country to notice the talent of Alabama freshman forward Brandon Miller. North Carolina head basketball coach Hubert Davis spoke with the media following the Tar Heels’ quadruple overtime loss to Alabama. He was complimentary of Miller and expressed how good the freshman actually is.

“First of all, Brandon Miller is a pro. Plain and simple, period, the end. He’s a lottery pick,” he said. That is quite the compliment from one of the nation’s best basketball coaches. Davis has been with the Tar Heels basketball program since 2012. He was an assistant for nine years before becoming the head coach in 2021.

Miller was held to 14 points against the Tar Heels. That is tied for the lowest amount of points that Miller has scored this season. The other came against Longwood when he scored 14 points in that game as well. The freshman sensation currently averages 19.6 points per game while shooting an efficient 40% from the field.
