Shoppers are looking for unique, locally made goods which give them a good feeling.”They put money back in the community for all the Alabama artist-created products and they turn into gift baskets and boxes, corporate gifts and things for my family, keeping money in the community,” shopper Kelli Buchanan says. Friday, people had the opportunity to shop at the Holiday Magic Market along 20th St. in Birmingham. People like Janelle Sweeney sold their unique creations like vintage wreaths.”Pipe cleaner tree, 15 bucks,” Sweeney says. While businesses appear to be doing well, shoppers also appear to be watching how much they spend.
