A 91-year-old woman is dead and a 93-year-old man was injured after being hit by a vehicle Sunday evening in Mobile.
According to police, the incident occurred around 5:36 p.m. in the area of Government Street and Little Flower Avenue.
Officers were called to the area after getting calls about two individuals that had been struck by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, they found a 91-year-old and a 93-year-old lying on the ground.
The 91-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 93-year-old was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Following an initial investigation, investigators found that the pair were crossing Government Street and heading southbound at the time of the incident. A car traveling eastbound later hit them.
The driver of that vehicle remained on the scene after the incident.
Mobile police are still investigating.
