MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Mobile police arrested a man accused in a deadly shooting at University Hospital on Easter morning.
Investigators said Robert McMillian, 42, drove to the emergency room to check on his friend who was one of two people shot and killed in Prichard earlier that morning.
While at the hospital, there was an argument in the parking lot that led to shots being fired.
Detectives said McMillian was shot and killed by Algernon Grayson, 22.
On June 9, police arrested Grayson on charges of murder and shooting into an unoccupied vehicle.
Grayson spent several years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter for a deadly shooting after a Mardi Gras parade in 2016. He admitted to killing 15-year-old Amir Parker behind the Popeye’s on Government Street. Grayson was just 16 at the time of that shooting.
Grayson was arrested two other times this year by Mobile police. On March 10, investigators said he led officers on a high-speed chase. On May 3, police arrested Grayson during a raid of a home on Joseph Avenue. Investigators said they found cocaine, meth, marijuana, ecstasy, hydrocodone, and three firearms during the search.
