Alabama, Ohio State Headline List

College football is right around the corner, and it’s time for us bettors to take stock in the futures market.

The usual suspects are at the top of the odds board: Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia; but after Cincinnati broke through in 2021, is it time for more fresh blood to make the College Football Playoff and make a run at the National Championship?

Here are the odds for the National Championship from WynnBET Sportsbook:

There are three teams bunched at the top in Bama, OSU and UGA, with Clemson a distant fourth, which makes sense.

The Tigers have more questions around their team than ever before after the team fell off in 2021. Dabo Swinney lost both offensive and defensive coordinators this offseason and there is concern around quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei.

Meanwhile, the defending champions Georgia are the third choice after losing a ton of talent to the NFL, but the foundation is in place for Kirby Smart to have this team contending in 2022. The Bulldogs have earned the respect of oddsmakers to be installed as the third choice.

Ohio State brings back a ton of talent, namely Heisman Trophy finalist C.J. Stroud and star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. The team missed the CFP last season, but has as much firepower as any team in the country.

Alabama is the favorite with the reigning Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young and star defender Will Anderson. After coming up short in 2021, oddsmakers are counting on a bounce back campaign from Nick Saban and co. ending with a National Championship.
