Travis Tritt books Alabama show: How to get tickets


Country star Travis Tritt will perform in Alabama this fall, Red Mountain Entertainment announced Monday morning.

The singer/songwriter will co-headline “The Can’t Miss Tour” with Chris Janson, appearing at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater Wednesday, Oct. 19. The show begins at 7 p.m.

Special guests War Hippies will also perform.

The show falls on the Wednesday before the Alabama football team hosts Mississippi State in Tuscaloosa Oct. 22.

Tickets go on same Friday, June 17 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster. They will cost $29.50, $39.50, $59.50, $79.50 $99.50 and $125.

Tritt’s hit singles include “Help Me Hold On”, “Anymore”, “Can I Trust You with My Heart”, “Foolish Pride” and “Best of Intentions.” Tritt won two Grammy Awards, both for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals, for 1992′s “Whiskey Ain’t Workin’” with Marty Stuart and 1998′s “Same Old Train” with Stuart and several other artists. The Georgia native’s musical influence include country greats like Conway Twitty, Waylon Jennings and George Jones as well as Southern rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Seven of his albums, including 1991′s It’s All About to Change,” have reached platinum status.

Janson is a Missouri-born and Nashville based country singer/songwriter whose albums include “Buy Me a Boat,” “Everybody” and “Real Friends.” Hit singles include “Good Vibes” and “Done.” He has also co-written songs for Tim McGraw and Hank Williams Jr.
