What Is Amazon Subscribe & Save?

Amazon Subscribe & Save is a program that allows you to order eligible items for a discounted rate with automatic deliveries. Why the discount? Orders placed with Amazon Subscribe & Save receive free standard shipping. Subscribe & Save auto deliveries aren’t eligible for Prime Two-Day Shipping.

Yes, it’s really fast and simple to change your Subscribe & Save delivery schedule. If you thought you might need an item every six months but realize you actually need it sooner, you have many options to choose from. This works in reverse as well too; you can decide to change your delivery schedule to be longer than you initially set up.

  • Subscribe & Save can be set up to be delivered as soon as every two weeks, three weeks, four weeks, one month, five weeks, six weeks, seven weeks, eight weeks, two months, three months, four months, five months or even every six months.
  • Conveniently, Amazon will email you a reminder in advance of your shipment so you can decide if the delivery date still works for you.
  • You also have the option to stay on the same delivery schedule but just “Skip” a delivery. Just go to Your Subscribe & Save Items, hover over the subscription for the item you want to change, and then select “Skip Next Delivery.”

In the case of the Sacred 7 Mushroom Powder above, I initially set up the subscription for every three months, but when the reminder email came I realized I still had quite a bit left so I changed it to every six months.

Can You Cancel Amazon Subscribe & Save?

Yes, you can cancel Amazon Subscribe & Save at any time. Just note, per Amazon’s Subscribe & Save Terms & Conditions, if you decide to reactivate the subscription you may not get the same discount for the item.

To cancel your Subscribe & Save subscription:

  • Go to “Your Subscribe & Save Items.”
  • Select the tab, “Subscriptions.”
  • If you are on a mobile device, click “Edit,” if you are on a web browser, click on the product image.
  • Select “Cancel Subscription.”
  • Select a cancellation reason.
  • Click “Cancel my subscription.”

When You Sign Up for Amazon Subscribe & Save Does it Lock in the Prices?

When you sign up for Amazon Subscribe & Save, the price is not locked in place. If the overall price of the item changes on Amazon, so will your Subscribe & Save price. The price could change in either direction, it could get higher or there might be a promotion where your price will lower. However, Amazon will send you an automatic reminder email before your next shipment and the price they quote on the reminder email will show the current price that you will be charged. So, in the unlikely situation the price changes radically you could still decide to cancel or skip the order.
