Lowe’s Is Now Offering Kids’ Birthday Parties

Lowe’s has joined the party! The kids’ birthday party industry, that is.

The retailer just launched new Build a Birthday packages that allow parents to book a private DIY-themed party for up to 20 kids at 10 stores nationwide. Your kid and their guests will all receive a DIY project kit that they’ll complete during the party.

What Do Lowe’s Kids’ Birthday Party Packages Include?

Lowe’s birthday packages are best for kids 5 and older. When you book a kids’ party at Lowe’s, you can expect:

  • A two-hour party.
  • A party captain from Lowe’s who leads the party and helps the kids with their crafts. You’ll need to have at least one trusted adult on your side to remain at the party for supervision.
  • A designated space for the party in the store.
  • 1 DIY kit per child. Examples include a build-your-own pirate ship kit and a butterfly house.
  • Party accessories that are useful and photo-worthy: goggles, aprons and cute little construction hats.
  • E-vites you’ll build and manage via Punchbowl.

You can also purchase additional party upgrades, including pizza.

How Much do Lowe’s Birthday Parties Cost?

You have two packages to choose from, and pricing will vary depending on the number of guests and add-ons.

  • Starting at $349 — Lil Builders Party: This package is geared at simpler crafts.
  • Starting at $399 — Premium Builders Party: This package has more complicated custom wood projects.

Up to 12 guests are included in the base package. You’ll pay $20 per guest beyond that. So, say you select the basic Lil Builders package for 20 kids. You’ll pay a total of $509.

The Cost of Add-Ons

Lowe’s gives you various add-on options for an additional cost. These include pizzas, cakes, brownies and sodas (because why not give kids sugar AND craft kits?) You must order a minimum of three pizzas ($45).

So, let’s say you’ve got 20 kids coming to the party. You order four cheese pizzas, three 2-liter coke bottles and three orders of brownies. Now your grand total is $607.25 for the party (roughly $30 per kid):

4. Select your add-ons. Pizza! Soda! Brownies!

5. Select party favors, if you wish. Budget-conscious parents, take note: You can totally count the craft (which the kids will take home) as a party favor. However, if you wish to tack on slap bracelets, fidget spinners and T-shirts, you have that option.

6. Check out.
