Beginning February 2023, Bishop Arts Theatre Center (BATC) will produce the 1619 Project One-Act Festival in Dallas, Texas. BATC commissioned nine playwrights to pen a script inspired by Dr. Nikole Hannah-Jones, Pulitzer-prize winning, New York Times bestseller, The 1619 Project. Dr. Hannah-Jones will attend the production on February 17, 2023 and participate in a talkback after the performance.
The performance is made possible in part by the All Stars Project and Dallas Truth Racial Healing and Transformation. The event will be livestreamed on this page.
