Samsung pushed One UI 5.1 to its 2022 flagships just last week, and now it is ready to bring the firmware to older foldables. Our own Galaxy Z Fold3 unit received a software update notification, bringing a 1406.51 MB package with some new features, including access to Expert RAW from the Camera app and better multitasking.

The Galaxy Z Fold3 is a device best known for its incredibly advanced multi-window mode, and Samsung now made it easier to minimize or switch to full screen with One UI 5.1. The most used apps in split screen can be accessed below, like a toolbar, and there are also some improvements for DeX users.

The update also brings more actions for Routines, changing wallpapers based on modes, improved weather widgets, and more functions within the Gallery app, including enhanced image remastering.

The software update has version number F926BXXU3EWB1 / F926BOXM3EWB1 / F926BXXU3EWB1 and also brings the latest security patch, dated February 2023. First in line for the update should be EU devices, but others should follow very soon.

We also learned the Galaxy A series jumped the One UI 5.1 train. Reports are the global version of the Galaxy A73 is getting the software just three months after it switched to One UI 5.0.

Next in line should be the international Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53, as the Korean versions were already updated.
