Beginning February 2023, Bishop Arts Theatre Center (BATC) will produce The 1619 Project, One-Act Festival in Dallas, Texas. BATC commissioned nine playwrights to pen a script inspired by Dr. Nikole Hannah-Jones’ Pulitzer prize-winning New York Times bestseller, The 1619 Project. Dr. Hannah-Jones will attend the production on Friday 17 February 2023 and participate in a talkback after the performance.
