In honor of World Chocolate Day, tomorrow, Friday, July 7, CandyStore.com is rallying an exciting new campaign to bring back the iconic Wonka Bar.
Apart from Celebrating World Chocolate Day, their campaign revolves around the anticipation of the upcoming “Wonka” movie this December, starring Timothée Chalamet in the role as the eccentric chocolatier originated by American actor, comedian, writer and filmmaker Gene Wilder.
A petition urging Ferrero (who also owns the Nestle’s U.S. confectionary business) to re-release Wonka Bars. But, the company’s response so far, regrettably, is noncommittal and it sounds like they basically have no plans for a re-release.
Given the usual timelines for product launches, it’s very unlikely we’ll see the iconic Wonka Bar making a comeback for this year’s film release unless enough people can sign the petition to help urge a re-release of this beloved cultural chocolate bar through public enthusiasm.
