JULIUS CAESAR at Independent Shakespeare at Griffith Park – Gia On The Move

Reviewed and Recorded by Tracey Paleo, Gia On The Move

In every way…

Shakespeare’s JULIUS CAESAR is less about the man and more about power, allegiance, rivalry, actions and consequences. All of that unleashes wildly in the second act. And you really cannot beat the experience that Independent Shakespeare has created.

JULIUS CAESAR
by William Shakespeare
July 5 – July 30
Wednesday – Sunday @ 7:00 pm

Independent Shakespeare‘s first production in the park of Shakespeare’s gritty political thriller.

Rome teeters on the brink of civil war as Caesar’s ambition for a crown threatens the stability of the Republic. This fast-paced performance explores how propaganda and technology can be used to manipulate the populace. Your own values may be tested as you get pulled into a world of power struggles and intrigue.

This production portrays violence and self-violence, uses stage blood and fog, includes a gun shot, contains adult themes, and has flashing lights.
