Temu Return Policy: Everything to Know


Temu just might be the hottest name in e-commerce right now. With an incredible array of products, all at unbelievably low prices (and free shipping to boot!), it’s no wonder the Temu app and website have taken the world by storm. Whatever you’re looking for, chances are good that Temu has it — and for less money than you’d find it anywhere else.

When you can buy a pair of wireless earbuds for under $6 and a stylish pair of sneakers for under $15, you might be willing to eat the cost if your purchase doesn’t work out. But what if you order a bunch of party favors you no longer need, or those trendy checkerboard-print shorts don’t fit? For customers who want to return items to Temu (for whatever reason), the process is fairly quick and painless — although not quite as quick as it might be with other retailers, such as Amazon.

How to Return Items to Temu

What Is Temu’s Return Policy?

Temu has a generous 90-day return policy, but there’s a catch. That 90-day time frame starts from the date you place your order, not the date it actually arrives. And with estimated shipping times of up to 25 days, you might have less time to send your order back than you initially thought.

As long as you’re within that 90-day time frame, though, returning items to Temu isn’t too complicated. 

Does Temu Provide Return Labels?

The site offers free returns in exchange for a full refund, but you won’t get a return label with your order the way you might with other e-commerce sites. Instead, you’ll need to log in to your Temu account, note which items you want to return, and choose your return method. 

From there, you’ll need to wait for the company to send you a return label and shipping instructions. Once you have that, you can print the return label, pack up the items you’re sending back, and ship them to Temu. Return shipping is free of charge to customers, as long as you’re within that 90-day period.

To start the Temu return process, click on “Your Orders” on the Temu website. From there, click “Print a return label and start return.” From there, you can select which items you want to return and choose the “Print return label” option.

Can You Return Multiple Items from the Same Temu Order?

You can — but it’s in your best interest to return all of the items at once. As the Temu website explains, you’ll only get one free return shipping label per order. If you decide later that you want to return more items from the same order, you’ll have to pay a $7.99 shipping fee when you print the second return label.

How Long Does the Temu Refund Process Take?

According to the Temu website, refunds are typically processed three business days after the company receives your return shipment. The company adds that refunds can take up to 30 days to be credited back to your original payment method, though refunds are usually credited within five to 14 business days. For an instant option, customers can also accept their refund in the form of Temu credit, rather than money back on their card.

The Temu return process might deter some shoppers from actually sending their returns; it’s not as easy as just slapping a label on a box and sending it back. But if you’re unhappy with your Temu purchase, it’s worth logging into your account and having the company create a return label for you to send your items back.
