Motorola Moto G54’s India launch set for September 6, specs and design revealed

Motorola introduced the Moto G84 in India yesterday, and it’s now set to launch the Moto G54 in the country on September 6 – a day after its unveiling in China.

Motorola hasn’t revealed the Moto G54’s Indian price yet, but it confirmed the smartphone will be sold through its official Indian website, Flipkart, and leading retail outlets across the country. The Motorola Moto G84 will come in Mint Green, Pearl Blue, and Midnight Blue colors.

The Lenovo-owned brand also confirmed a few specs of the Moto G54 on its official X account, but the promo page set up by Flipkart on its website for the smartphone leaves little to the imagination.

The Motorola Moto G54 will be powered by the Dimensity 7020 SoC and have 12GB RAM and 256GB storage onboard. However, it’s unclear if there will be more memory options or if this will be the only configuration available, like the Moto G84.

The Moto G54 will run “near-stock” Android 13 out of the box and come with the promise of an Android 14 upgrade and three years of security updates. The smartphone will pack a 6.5″ 120Hz FullHD+ display with a centered punch-hole for a selfie camera whose resolution is yet to be confirmed. Rumors claim it’s a 16MP sensor.

The Motorola Moto G54’s back panel will sport two cameras – 50MP primary (with OIS) and 8MP ultrawide. The latter will also be used as a macro and depth camera.

The rest of the Moto G54’s highlights include a 6,000 mAh battery, 33W charging, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and IP52 rating. It will also feature stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Moto Spatial Sound and support 14 5G bands in India.
