That’s according to the Vincent-City’s mayor, James Latimer.
During an emergency meeting of the City Council, members moved to suspend with pay, the Chief of Police and Assistant Chief.
The third officer resigned later that evening, after the council voted to pursue fully, the dissolution of the police department.
The decision has left the city’s nearly 2,000 residents with no active police officers.
