August Stats are out and these are some highlights:
Inventory is up substantially from August 2021 levels.
Compared to this time last year, each county in the ValleyMLS.com coverage area saw at least a 20% increase in homes on the market, with Athens and Madison counties seeing the most growth.
More work remains to boost affordability and attainability.
Sellers now is the time to be very picky with who you hire to represent you to sell your home. Your unexperienced referred agent may not be the your best option.
Pricing your home right matters. The amount of price reductions happening now, have different reasons, but mainly is due to unrealistic expectations by Sellers who decided to test the market or were thinking they still could get higher value for the listing of their home.
Remember, Homebuyers now have homes to choose from but Interest rates won’t allow them to be part of bidding wars, they have more options to choose from and they don’t need to rush.
