Lowe’s just rolled out its new free rewards program with three benefit tiers. Like most loyalty memberships, you earn points with every eligible purchase towards discounts called “MyLowe’s Money.” When you’ve accumulated 1,000 points, you’ll get a $5 MyLowe’s Money offer added to your Lowe’s wallet. Points expire 12 months after your last points-earning activity.

MyLowe’s Money can be redeemed on your purchases in stores, through the Lowe’s mobile app and at Lowes.com. Members also get exclusive gifts throughout the year. For those with an MVPs Pro Rewards account, MyLowe’s Rewards account is separate.

2. Switch To Store Pickup for a $10 Lowe’s Coupon

Yes, you get free shipping at Lowe’s on orders over $45. But, if you initially select “ship to home” and then switch to in-store pickup instead, you’ll get a $10 Lowe’s coupon to use the next time you shop. Check your Lowe’s shopping cart at check out to opt into this offer, which looks like this:

The coupon is one-use only and is valid for $10 off a future purchase of $20 or more. You’ll get the coupon via email after you pick up your order. Yes! Lowe’s price-matching policy pledges to match the prices of local competitors. If you find a lower price on an identical item from another nearby store, you can bring an ad, printout or photo and show it to a sales associate at Lowe’s to pay the lower price.

Select Lowe’s stores in select areas offer a tool rental service, letting you rent commercial-grade, brand-name tools, including power tools, concrete tools, augers, portable power devices, tile saws, fasteners, and ladders and scaffolding. By renting instead of buying, you avoid shelling out for pricey new tools you’ll only use once or twice — and spare yourself the hassle of maintenance and storage. Renting a tool is also a good way to try before you spend money to buy.

You can quickly and easily book tools online before dropping by your local store with your ID and credit card to pick them up. Rentals are available for four-hour, 24-hour, weekly and monthly periods. Need more time with your rental items? You can avoid late fees by calling your local Lowe’s and speaking to a tool rental associate to adjust your rental period for a reasonable price.

8. Score a Lowe’s Rebate

Lowe’s offers thousands of dollars back in rebates on certain appliances and other products. The retailer makes it pretty easy for you to submit a rebate via an online rebate form. While you might find similar (or sometimes) lower prices for longer truck rentals elsewhere, Lowe’s has great pricing for quick rentals when you need to take something bulky to your house real quick. The convenience of renting a truck directly from the Lowe’s lot is also hard to beat.

Lowe’s Return Policy

One of the most generous store return policies, Lowe’s return policy lets you return most unused items within 90 days of purchase. Electronics, major appliances, outdoor power equipment, plumbing, liquid paint and highway trailers must be returned in a like-new condition within 30 days of purchase. Most times, you can return items in-store — even if you’ve lost the receipt — using the original credit card, debit card, checking account number or phone number you used at the time of purchase.

Free Online Returns

Besides a full refund, Lowe’s provides free shipping on purchases from Lowes.com. To mail a return, you need only box up your item and print out two return slips: one to leave inside the package and one to affix to the outside. From there, you’ll drop the package off at your local post office or mail carrier.
