Target isn’t just known for its fun shopping atmosphere and a vast selection of items you never knew you needed. It’s also popular for its frequent sales and promos that can save shoppers oodles. If you aren’t one to shop at Target every single day, then knowing when to hit the store at the right time becomes vital information to retain your savvy shopper status.
Besides the obvious Target Circle loyalty membership and the always-open Target Clearance Sale, there are events (both big and small) throughout the year, with every month holding a new savings possibility. January
The first month of the year is all about investing in your well-being — from fitness deals and cute workout clothes to Ulta’s Love Your Skin event with up to 50% off products that moisturize your thirsty winter skin.
Target Furniture Sale
Target’s Furniture Sale is definitely not exclusive to the month of January, but when it arrives, it feels like it gives your space a little extra oomph (and up to 30% off) just when you need it the most.
February
Valentine’s Day and the big game happen in February – and so do the savings. This year, shoppers saved on game day essentials and 20% on bedding, wall decor, mirrors and storage, and BOGO 50% off books, movies, and board games during the Target 4-Day Sale.
Target Toy Sale
Typically offered in January, this year’s Target Toy sale popped up in early February, offering 40% off select toys from their favorite brands.
March
Depending on whether Easter falls in March or April, you’ll see Target springing with bunnies — both chocolate and stuffed ones. This year, the holiday fell at the end of March, so deeper discounts on Easter gear followed in April. But ahead of Easter, Target offered plenty of deals on basket fillers and BOGO 40% off select Lego sets, to name a few.
This year, Target also introduced a newly improved Target Circle that started during Circle Week in April and the new Target x Diane von Furstenberg collaboration. While Ulta’s semiannual Beauty Event (formerly known as 21 Days of Beauty) gives you savings on new spring-y products.
Target Spring Home Sale
On March 20, Target offered its big Spring Home Sale, featuring up to 50% off rugs, up to 30% off window hardware, up to 40% off select bedding, 20% off Threshold furniture, and tons more for sprucing up your space.
April
Spring is in the air at Target, featuring savings on spring cleaning essentials, spring clothing for kiddos, spring dresses for women, and BOGO 50% off spring shoes for the family. Ulta’s Spring Haul Sale also covers your new spring beauty look.
Target Circle Week
This year, Target’s spring Circle Week (April 7-13) happened in April rather than March, like in 2023. It offered discounts on merchandise you can use in the spring and summer, like 30% off swimsuits, patio furniture, warm-weather apparel and more, plus different Deals of the Day every day throughout the event.
Target Car Seat Sale
The Target Car Seat Trade-in Event lets you save on baby gear. You can trade in or recycle your old car seat and get a 20% off coupon to stack with all the other deals.
May
Target throws a Star Wars Day sale for one day only every May 4, and last year’s included up to 20% off select Star Wars clothes and toys. Ahead of the upcoming Memorial Day weekend, shoppers have saved on summer sandals and other outdoor favorites, plus up to $70 off select Apple products and up to 50% off video games. Ulta’s Gorgeous Hair Event will give you savings to tame your summer locks.
Target Memorial Day Sale
The Summer Kickoff Sale typically starts the Friday before the long Memorial Day holiday but can pop up even earlier if Target is in the mood. Past savings have included up to 30% off outdoor furniture, kitchen, bedding, furniture and home decor, plus 20% off summer apparel for everyone.
June
June wasn’t a huge month in 2023 for big Target sales, but plenty of deals exist to score. Some have included up to 50% off outdoor furniture, 30% off swimwear and other summer styles for everyone in the family, up to 25% on home office gear and 50% off video games. Ulta’s Jumbo Love Event will feature up to 40% off the top hair care brands.
July
Plan to celebrate the Fourth of July at Target because you’ll find plenty of chances to save storewide during the Sizzling Savings Event. Last year, deals included up to 40% off Hearth & Hand with Magnolia, up to 30% off furniture and early back-to-school deals, along with special Target Circle member discounts.
Target Circle Week
Popular retailers vie for shoppers’ attention during Amazon’s Prime Day in July. Whether it’s fashion brands or tech and home brands throwing competing sales, the second week of July holds one of the most important shopping days of the year — second only to Black Friday. Although Prime Day lasted from July 11-12, 2023, Target Circle kicked off even earlier and lasted longer (July 9-15, 2023) with savings in multiple categories storewide.
August
Back to school started in July but it really ramps up in August. Target Circle members saved 15% on Starbucks merchandise, received a $15 Target GiftCard on orders of first-day household essentials over $50 and 30% off women’s apparel. The second Ulta Beauty Event will hit towards the end of August and continue into September.
Teachers and school staff received a 20% off Target Circle offer, and so did college students, which we fully expect Target to continue offering in the future.
Target Back-to-School Sale
When you’re sending your new high school grad off to college, there’s no better place to stock up on the essentials than at Target. Examples of past offers have included up to $100 off select Apple products, up to 20% off TVs, 50% off storage and up to 40% off lighting. Plus, shoppers received 30% off backpacks, BOGO 25% off BIC pens, pencils and other school supplies starting at 50 cents.
September
Over at Target, September says goodbye to summer and hello to Baby Month. Last year’s Baby Month deals included four weeks featuring different baby deals, including 15% off Yogasleep sound machines, 25% off select baby monitors and up to 30% off other baby gear, to name a few. But that doesn’t mean other savings opportunities aren’t there, which have included 30% off Halloween costumes, up to 40% off Hearth & Hand with Magnolia and lots more. Ulta’s Fall Haul comes blazing in the last half of the month.
Target Labor Day Sale
The Summer Send-Off Sale marks the end of the season and deals galore. Last year’s deals included up to 40% off home decor and furniture, up to $30 off select AirPods, $50 off iPads, up to 30% off nursery furniture, and lots more.
October
The last three months of the year might feel like a whirlwind because the deals come early and stay late at Target, including the fall edit of Ulta’s Gorgeous Hair Event.
Target Circle Week
In 2023, Target gave us a third Circle Week for one week at the beginning of October, perhaps in an attempt to steal Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days thunder, which followed shortly after. So, just as the Halloween decorations come up, Target is offering deals on holiday decor like 50% off Christmas trees during Target Circle Week.
November
The deals cup continues to runneth over at Target for Black Friday (and at Ulta, too), which basically took over the entire month of November in 2023. In 2023, early Black Friday, some early savings included up to $100 on select Apple products, 20% off Lego sets, and 30% off cold-weather gear.
Target Black Friday Sale
More Black Friday deals included BOGO 50% off select toy brands, free Target GiftCard opportunities, 50% off Wondershop artificial trees and 40% off matching holiday PJs. Plus, up to 50% off select Ulta at Target beauty products all week.
December
This month extends the Black Friday savings from November for shoppers who might have missed out. The 24 Days of Gifts Event in 2023 offered a new deal on gift ideas every day in the lead-up to Christmas Day, plus a Target Shipt membership for 50% off if you want to avoid the holiday hustle and bustle inside Target stores. The last major sale at Ulta (the Jumbo Love Event) pops up this month, too.
Target 24 Days of Gifts Sale
In 2023, Target gave us a new way to save with the 24 Days of Gifts sale on Dec. 1, which included up to 40% off electric toothbrushes, up to 30% off hoverboards and toys and outerwear, apparel and accessories, up to $150 off select Dyson products and 30% off candles, phone cases and lots more. Target Circle members also found limited-time savings with 10% off Target GiftCards and BOGO Starbucks drinks. Fingers crossed it returns this year

Target After-Christmas Sale
The Target Clearance Run typically gets started the day after Christmas and is an excellent way to extend those gift cards you received even further. The online and in-store after-Christmas sale includes BOGO board games, up to 25% off kitchen and dining must-haves, and up to 50% off toys, clothing, shoes and beauty products, to name a few.
