Hells Gate Bridge – Scary urban legend in the state of Alabama.
The Hells Gate Bridge located in Oxford, Alabama is said to be haunted by a couple that drowned there.
One night in 1950, a couple drove their car over the bridge, and both drowned.
One legend is if you drive your car to the middle of the bridge and turn off all the lights, the couples will appear in your backseat and leave a wet spot on the seat.
Another legend is when you drive over the bridge and look over your shoulders, you will see a fiery portal to hell – hence the name of the bridge.
Since 2005, The bridge is closed for cars, and walking across isn’t recommended due to safety reasons.
