Two dead in Sunday car crash

Two people died this Sunday in a two-vehicle crash that occurred south of Brookwood in Tuscaloosa County.

According to a press release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, 25-year-old Woodstock native Chance Mizzell was driving a 2010 Toyota Tacoma when it crashed head-on into a 2018 Mazda3 driven by 24-year-old Madison native Cameron Parks.

The incident happened around 3:40 a.m. near the 84 mile marker on Interstate 59, two miles south of Brookwood’s city limits.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are still investigating the incident.
